Leadership Journey
At INSEAD Business School in Fountainebleau, Professor Ian Woodward told us that “Leadership is a Journey and not a destination”. On reflection, today I find that leadership cannot be a meaningful journey unless we have the following:
HAVE IN MIND A CLEAR IDEA OF YOUR DESTINATION
My passion is to continually inspire new brand marketers and raise the bar for creative thought, leadership and best practices in marketing and business which is why I am starting to give back by advising local companies based on my Marketing and Business expertise in global, regional and local companies
KNOW AND DEVELOP YOUR PERSONAL BRAND
I inadvertently developed my own personal brand over the years by recognizing that marketing strategies apply to me in the same way as I have used them for the brands under my care. The consistency of the result is uncanny as demonstrated by the fact that the rigorous triangulation processes at INSEAD identified my personal brand as being a Courageous, Creative and Caring leader and at the same time my Vietnam team also depicted this the picture below which they made for me;
DARE TO DE-CONSTRUCT AND ASSEMBLE YOUR PATH
Be honest -what would you do with your life if you have no restrictions or fear. Find that answer and journey towards it by making decisions to bring you closer towards that objective. Be conscious that objectives can be dynamic as we progress through life.
